BIOGRAPHY

Kathy has always had a natural interest in painting and drawing. But it wasn’t until she had been an English teacher for years that she decided to pursue training in art. Most of her studies were done at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts in New Orleans, learning the classical techniques of drawing and painting in oil and watercolor. She went on to teach watercolor art the Academy until moving from New Orleans in 2006.

Additionally, she studied watercolor at the Art Students League with Timothy J. Clark, and completed workshops in watercolor with Sondra Freckleton and Janet Walsh and in oil with Douglas Flynt and Nancy Tankersley.

She has had past gallery associations in New Orleans, Jackson, MS, and Rome, GA.
